Welcome to the
FRP meeting 2021: Human rights work in challenging times – ways forward
Meet civil society activists to learn from successful human rights work during the COVID-19 pandemic. Discuss with policymakers, donors and experts from European and international organisations how civil society is part of the solution to addressing the current human rights challenges.
The FRP meeting 2021 will take place virtually on 1 February 2021. This meeting is hosted by the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA), and its content was developed together with civil society organisations in the Fundamental Rights Platform (FRP).
The event will explore how civil society organisations can contribute to overcoming the human rights challenges that we are facing in the aftermath of the COVID-19 crisis and beyond. It will combine a high-level panel and plenary discussion, breakout sessions and a networking slot. All 800 organisations registered in FRA’s Fundamental Rights Platform are invited to attend. The Director and experts of the FRA will participate, as will the Agency’s partners from EU institutions, international organisations and the donor community.
This meeting will provide a forum to exchange ideas, experiences and good practices related to the most pressing human rights challenges being faced, and the solutions developed by civil society. It will highlight opportunities for European partnerships between civil society and donors, local and national governments, international partners and other actors. The event will foster new ideas, offer dialogue with policymakers, and highlight good practices that you can apply directly to your work.
The meeting will be held in English, with French interpretation and sign language interpretation provided for plenary sessions. Live captioning in English will be available in plenary sessions.
